Standard duty or standard tier

(section 2(2), section 2(3) of the Act) The Act establishes a tiered approach for premises – the standard duty and the enhanced duty (also known as the standard and enhanced tiers). Standard tier premises are qualifying premises that can reasonably expect 200 to 799 individuals to be present at the same time, from time to time, for the purpose of a Schedule 1 use.
